Tim Tebow arrived to Port St. Lucie, Florida on Monday to attend Mets spring training. After an unsuccessful stint in the Arizona Fall League, which saw Tebow hit only .194, this spring is important in his goal to someday be a Major League Baseball player.
Tebow warmed up with the team and took four rounds of batting practice. In those four rounds Tebow hit nine home runs. Tebow also hit four home runs out of five pitches at one point.
It’s important not to get ahead of ourselves as this was just batting practice, however it is a marked improvement over what we saw in October.
Tebow is looking to earn a spot on either the Mets single-A or double-A team. Tebow is older than most prospects.
