Florida Soccer, Volleyball make big moves in national polls

After a banner weekend for the Florida Gators soccer and volleyball squads, both teams have seen their stock rise in the national polls.

On Friday, each program defeated the (previously) #1 ranked teams in the country. Each program followed up those victories with a positive outcome in their next contest.

Soccer defeated the Stanford Cardinal on Friday and followed that with victory over Syracuse on Sunday.

Florida Soccer moved from #8 to #2 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll, one spot behind UCLA. Stanford fell to #5.

Volleyball defeated the Texas Longhorns on Friday in day one of the VERT Challenge and followed that up by coming from behind against Nebraska on Saturday.

Florida Volleyball moved from #12 all the way to #3 in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll.

Both teams are in action on Friday. Soccer will travel to Seattle to take on Washington, while Volleyball travels to San Juan, PR and will face the NC State Wolfpack.
